ASUP TO DECIDE ON STRIKE The National Executive Council of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) is about to consider the offer made to the leaders of the union at a meeting it is holding in Benue state. According to the publicity secretary of the union, Clement Chirman, who spoke to Daily Trust from the venue of the meeting, the ASUP and Federal Government met yesterday and were offered what they had been previously offered. It is the decision of the union on the governments offer that will decide whether the union will suspend or continue its months old strike. He said the consideration of the governments offer is the next thing on the meetings agenda.
