AT&T AT&T U-verse Re: NO ATT SERVICES AVAILBLE TO 12 FAMILIES IN OAKLAND, CA. Wanted to transfer my #UVERSE and phone to a newly build location in #Oakland ca. There are 12 condominium with each individual valid postal address. In ATTs service map shows phone and #DSL are available. When I wanted to transfer my att account there, att rep told me that only phone service available and set up account to transfer my existing ph service there efffective Sept 02. I mentioned to the rep that nearby houses has DSL and Uverse why this complex dont. Area is populated part of Oakland. Att rep then transferred me to Customer Retention dept and Reps name Ms Reba. She was very professional and went deep to solve mystery why #AT&T services are not available to 12 families who recently bought houses. Ms Reba put me on hold and did extensive research from Google map and found out that in fact there are Uverse and DSL services within a block from the complex. She then contacted Att Technical Dept in San Ramon Ca area, but could not get hold of anyone there at that time. She promised me to get back to me with more info. After an hour I got call form Mr. Alfred from San Ramon Ca area Tech Dept and told me that even though I am expected to get phone there on Sept 02, NO services including Phone are available to 12 families there due to problem in the line on the road in that area. He told me that it will be fixed by Sept 19. My concern is, 11 other families who started moving there since July 25th were unable to get ATT service and many of them chose other provider. Most of them are new immigrants and not good in English to communicate with Att. Att just dropped the ball and 12 families are suffering. I was persistent and went deeper to find out the reason and thanks to Ms Reba. It looks like when 11 other families called ATT rep to get service, reps just said no service there yet. Why it will take another 3 weeks as per Mr Alfred to solve a simple problem. I will be glad to provide you detail personal and sensitive account info through Facebook messaging system if you follow me. Meanwhile I am also posting Direct message to atts twitter account @ATTCustomerCare and @Uverse. Please take this matter to Executive level to resolve this issue
