ATATURK MEMORIAL DAY November 10 is anniversary of the death of the founder of the modern Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, is being commemorated throughout Turkey, in northern Cyprus and at Turkish diplomatic missions worldwide. The first ceremony is holding at Anıtkabir in Ankara. There is also a ceremony at Dolmabahçe Palace, where Ataturk died at 9:05 a.m. Regardless of where they are, people are supposed to observe a moment of silence at 9:05 a.m. on this day every year. Flags across the country will be flown at half-staff.
