ATTACK ON BUHARIS CONVOY & TINUBUS FINGER-POINTING: Yesterdays - TopicsExpress

ATTACK ON BUHARIS CONVOY & TINUBUS FINGER-POINTING: Yesterdays bomb attack on Buharis convoy should be condemned by all. However, it pains when we see some people, in their do or die pursuit of political relevance, are now playing politics with such grievous devilish attack, in which lives of innocent Nigerians were lost. How, can Tinubu, in the middle of such heinous attack, rush to point fingers and heap accusations to/on Fed govt? As an elder, is it the right time to play politics with deaths of scores of innocent Nigerians, while their blood are still fresh on the ground, right there in Kaduna? Which evidences does Tinubu have, to incriminate the Fed govt to that attack? As someone with legal experience, the first question that comes to my mind is: Who benefits more from yesterdays attack on Buhari? The answer that keep coming back to my head, over and over, is that Buhari benefits more. YES, Buhari benefited more! Let me explain: 1) Yesterdays bombing may be the strongest evidence Buhari needs, to tell the whole world that he have no relationship with Boko Haram. 2) As an opposition leader, politically, Buhari may need this attack, to gain some empathy and sympathy, by telling the whole world that Govt is hunting down the opposition. But without rushing into any conclusion yet, we should ask ourselves the following questions: -1) why the bomb was detonated far off from Buhari? And why the attackers didnt have a plan B? For such a high-profile target as Buhari, and based on Boko Harams antecedents, It is logical to feel that if Boko Haram really want to kill Buhari in this attack, they should have (A) detonated the bomb close to him, (B) used a stronger bomb, (C) have men on ground, who can shoot him if the bomb fail to get him. But far from that, eyewitnesses said that after the bomb, common people surrounded Buhari, and was heaping praises on him. A target of such attack shouldnt spare a second on the scene of the attack. Buhari should have swiftly rushed out from the scene to safety, instead of delaying and receiving accolades from the crowd. So, why did he feel comfortable to delay? -2) why none in Buharis convoy was killed? Only 3 of his security personnel was injured...and the injury is not life threatening. Which kind of amateur target is that, so far away from the main target and none of the entourage is seriously injured? So, in conclusion, the beneficiary of this heinous attack is Buhari himself. Some people may understandably conclude that Buhari planed and executed this attack, just for political reasons. But I restrain myself from rushing into any conclusions. Therefore, I urge Tinubu and co, to stop heating up the polity, by their unguarded and undigested comments. The casualties in yesterdays bombings are none of these selfish and tired politicians, but as usual, the casualties are ordinary Nigerians. Therefore, we reject any comment from those, who are mortgaging our lives and our future, just for their selfish political plate of red porridge!
