ATTENTION ALL SOLDIERS OF THE GUAM ARMY NATIONAL GUARD, a press release was sent out regarding the upcoming September unit training assembly, 05, 06 & 07 September: UPCOMING GUAM ARMY NATIONAL GUARD UTA/DRILL POSTPONED The Guam Army National Guard’s upcoming unit training assembly or drill, scheduled for September 5th, 6th and 7th is POSTPONED. Due to budgetary shortfalls with the Army National Guard nationwide, all training events on Guam, to include the Freedom Salute Recognition Ceremony for our Soldiers, have been postponed to a later drill date. “It is unfortunate as we rely on the scheduled drills each month to ensure our Soldiers remain trained and ready,” said Maj. Gen. Benny M. Paulino, The Adjutant General for the Guam National Guard. “We are confident; however, that we will receive the funds to execute training at the end of the month. For now, it’s a waiting game.” This postponement of drill; however, does not affect our Airmen – all scheduled training will still take place for members of the Guam Air National Guard. Soldiers and Airmen should contact their respective units should they have any questions, comments or concerns.
