*****ATTENTION EVERYONE IN THE WAYCROSS/WARE COUNTY JAMESTOWN AREA***** Yesterday, January 25th, 2015, Ms. WANDA SOWELL GRIFFINS 2 yr old American Bulldog, Smokey, that she adopted from the GLYNN COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER in Brunswick, GA, went MISSING!!! Yesterday morning Ms. WANDA had to suddenly leave and go to Brunswick, because her newborn grandchild had to be rushed to the hospital when he became suddenly ill! While Ms. Wanda was gone, she asked a neighbor of hers to let Smokey out on his cable cord to go to the bathroom. Well, instead of letting him potty and then taking Smokey inside, her friend chose to leave Smokey outside on his cable cord for about an hour. When she went back to let Smokey back in the house, Smokey was gone. His cable cord was still in her yard. Wanda and her family believe that her neighbor, DAVID SHARROD, took Smokey off of his line and stole him! She believes this because this man is known for doing horrible things, including threatening Ms. Wanda and Smokey, stealing Christmas decorations off of her house, rolling her house in toilet paper, and doing some horrible other things to others living in this area. He is suspected of being a drug user, being involved with dog fighting, and being a very unstable person. This man lives across the road from Ms. Wanda on 3094 Devandrene Ave. WAYCROSS, GA. David threatened Ms. Wanda and Smokey last week by saying that he was going to kill Smokey. Smokey has never hurt anyone or even been in Davids yard. Ms. Wanda has lived at 4615 Kirkland Rd WAYCROSS, GA for 30 years and has never had any problems with any of her neighbors until David SHARROD moved in across the road from her 4 years ago. Smokey made Ms. Wanda feel safe, because of this man threatening her all of the time. Smokey IS NOT a mean dog towards people. He has had a few issues with other dogs, but besides that, hes an angel! Ms. Wandas granddaughter, Bethanny, that Ms. Wanda keeps during the day, is missing her Big Dog so bad, and Ms. Wanda is totally distraught about this. Her and her friends and family have looked for Smokey everywhere and cannot find him anywhere. Ms. Wanda did call the police and they made a police report about what she suspects has happened to Smokey. Ms. Wanda saved Smokey from being euthanized from Glynn County Animal Control, because she had been looking for a dog like Smokey for a very long time! Smokey is a 2 year old white American Bulldog with one small brown spot on the base (top) of his tail, and one small brown spot on his neck. His left eye looks a little weak and he is microchipped through Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic. His microchip information is through Home Again. Their telephone number is 1-888-466-3242.
