ATTENTION NEW MEMBERS The entire foundation of the chemtrail conspiracy seems to hinge on the claim that contrails evaporate quickly, while chemtrails linger and spread into a layer of chem-cloud which persists. There are absolutely zero published hypothesis explaining any natural physical process by which ice crystals in contrails must rapidly evaporate, while the ice crystals in naturally occurring clouds nearby are not expected to. Ice is ice. The following linked paper was published in 1946 and explains how contrails formed behind Allied aircraft as a result of moisture contained in engine exhaust. It details the heavy loss of Allied bombers over Germany when persistent contrails gave away the position and direction of aircraft, enabling interception by German night-fighters. It also details persistent contrails lingering and spreading into a layer of cirrus cloud which blanketed much of South-East England, when large numbers of Allied bombers were circling and forming up into large formations. Ergo, the perfectly ordinary phenomenon of aircraft contrails persisting and spreading has been scientifically understood since WWII, and such observed phenomena are NOT evidence of chemtrails. The claim that a shadowy they are spraying deadly chemicals disguised as contrails, from aircraft disguised as commercial passenger and cargo aircraft is an extraordinary claim. As Carl Sagan said, Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. If you wish to posit the hypothesis that ordinary contrails are chemtrails, you MUST provide evidence which does not rest on the premise that contrails do not and cannot persist under favourable atmospheric conditions, for this is a false claim.
