ATTENTION PLEASE!!! Dont Blame the Emevor Man, he only expressed his candid Opinion. The post by Mr. Nelson was his candid opinion, i believe every right thinking human beings has right to his own right to freedom of expression. Having said that, am shocked at certain issues. As a people we own Isoko a lot. Chief (Barr) Mike remains an icon in his own world. Chief Mike has done his best for the good people of Isoko most especially Igbide, he has influenced several employment opportunities through recruitment and otherwise to alleviate the status quo of most Isoko Sons and Daughters most especially in the area of force (Military). That I wouldn’t take away from him, he has been able to use his position of authority (influence) in helping our people. One thing that bears in mind, Barr Mike didn’t achieve all that over night; it took him some years of dedication and fruitfulness of his labour. I still recalled vividly his speech at Igbide late last year where he told his audiences the number of persons he has helped into military service. My issues with some of our commentators on the said post by Mr. Nelson, trying to compare elective officer with private individual to me is immaterial. Hon Leo Ogor as member of the house of representative, his primary duty as a lawmaker is making good laws for our dear country, but even at that lawmakers also have other primary, secondary functions. On legislative duties Hon leo is among the crème de la crème of the house of representative today, you can’t take it from him. Let’s face the issue of employment; he has influenced the employment of over 150 unemployed Isoko graduates into various federal govt agencies. Am talking about degree holders, if we look beyond degree holders they are endless. Just yesterday his private resident at Ozoro was busy with several persons who came to show appreciations. Why blame the Emevor man? Since 2003 the Emevor man has not been able to taste sensitive office such as Commissioner of any institution or ministry be it state or federal. But Hon Leo Ogor was able to use his good office and influence to solve that mathematics, the Appointment of Dr. Paul Owhe is a pointer to dis fact. I believe we all knw what it takes to have federal commissioner. They are just 13 members across the 36 states of the federation. Dr. Paul Owhe is representing Delta, Edo Beyalsea, for Isoko man to have find himself in such strategic position Hon Leo deserve commendations, again I don’t blame the Emevor man. On development, there is no community in isoko without Hon leo’s input no matter how small the project look, be it completed, ongoing or otherwise. I wouldn’t really what to go further, but it’s a simple facts: My analysis will be limited to few persons please. 1. Chief Mike as a private individual with military influence has been able to influence over 50 job for degree holders into the force, and other junior recruits into the military. 2. Chief Solomon Ogba as commissioner in various capacity has influenced several employments, as at my last research for both degree holders and junior staffs they are close to 180. 3. Hon Leo ogor, has employed about 150 degree holders into various F.G agencies, those without degree are endless. 4. Chief (Barr) Mrs Aluta, her records still stand tall 5. Barr Duncan has also in his own capacity employed some persons into Saipem, during the last candle light party held at Asaba , I was made to understand his strides of employments for Isoko sons, over 50 persons, both degree and Junior staffs (censuals). While appreciating the above actors for their giant humanitarian strides, let me quickly note. As a private individual, as long as you find yourself in position of authority you can still help in reducing unemployment among our youths. The development of Isoko is not limited to elective or political appointees. Mr. Ogaga Ifowodo (Ph.D); As a well read Columnist, Poets, Activist, academician etc, sincerely speaking I so much respect his intellectual inputs As a “Free Word” Award, honorary member of the PEN centres of the USA, Canada and Germany and a fellow of the Iowa Writing Program, he has done well. In Nigeria politics today we are also looking at those with humanitarian views. Simply put it as “focusing on the love of humanity.” In this way a person can care for, develop, or nourish his or her human potential. A person who gives of their time or money for the betterment of mankind is considered a philanthropist. It doesnt matter whether you are the person at the food kitchen preparing the meal, working with a womens shelter. You cant become a millionaire by sitting on your butt doing nothing at all but dreaming about what youre going to do. Although visualization is important, visualization coupled with action is the thing that separates millionaires from broke losers. My simple Question, what has Ogaga done for Isoko youths in the areas of employment/development bcos at the mention of Dr. Ogaga Ifowodo so many doors will be open without complain. We cant have some body with such global name without economic inputs.
