ATTENTION VERIZON CUSTOMERS: Verizon has reported that there is a landline phone outage affecting approximately 5,000 customers in the 412 area code with 819, 881, 882, 884, 885 and 886 exchanges. Affected customers can call between each other, but are not able to call outside of those exchanges - including 911. There is no estimated time frame as to when service will be restored, but Verizon has prioritized this issue. Customers experiencing an outage are encouraged to use available cell phones for emergency calls, or to find a neighbor without Verizon service.
