We are pleased to inform you that the WAY XVI General Assembly shall be held in Tirana, Albania, from December 7th to 11th, 2014. The General Assembly shall be hosted by WAY in partnership with the Melaka State Government, Malaysia, the Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth, Albania and the Albanian Youth Council. The theme of the General Assembly shall be Youth Leadership in Succession: Past and Future. This theme has been chosen to draw attention to the importance of youth leadership-possession taking into consideration the fact that youth, worldwide, amount for approximately 3 billion people, making up almost half of the global population. Appended hereto are the following documents for your perusal and action: 1. XVI General Assembly Briefing Paper a. This will provide all basic information about the XVI General Assembly 2. XVI General Assembly Delegate Registration and Accreditation Form a. This it to be completed by WAY Members only, and transmitted to the WAY Secretariat before 10 November. 3. XVI General Assembly Observer Registration and Accreditation Form a. This it to be completed by non-members of WAY, and transmitted to the WAY Secretariat before 10 November. 4. XVI General Assembly Nomination Form a. This is to be completed by paid-up members only, and transmitted to the WAY Secretariat before 10 November. 5. XVI General Assembly Programme a. This provides an outline of the Programme for the General Assembly 6. About WAY a. This provides brief information on the World Assembly of Youth 7. List of WAY Members a. This provides the list ratified WAY members as of the XV General Assembly. Please note that several new applications have been received over the past four years and are subject to ratification by the General Assembly. If your national youth council does not appear on the list, please email the WAY secretariat to confirm if you are in the process of being granted membership. 8. Previous General Assemblies a.
