Anticipate attaining TCCOR 1 not later than 2100 SUN (5 OCT) Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka has set TCCOR 4 for Yokosuka, Ikego, and Negishi (to include all areas under CFAY) due to Tropical Storm 16W. The storms greatest intensity is currently predicted for noon on MON 6 OCT (sustained winds in excess of 50 kts). The nature of TS 16W makes the storm track very difficult to anticipate with confidence, but given the predicted arrival on Monday morning, preparations are being made to be storm ready by 2100 SUN night (TCCOR 1 attainment time). Anticipate that Schools will be closed on Monday (confirmation of School Closure not later than Sunday evening). Commissary and Main NEX will be open until normal closing hours on SUN evening.
