Guys, Please see attached the Expression of Interest form for the Trop Cup mens game on Friday, Oct 3, 2014. Details: For Tropicarnage 2014, The Scartel from BCR and The Vikings from TVR will be the backbone of the 2 teams, utilising 10 Scartel skaters on one team and 10 Vikings skaters on the opposing team. The other 8 skaters spots will be selected via EOI based on eligibility and suitability. Eligibility: - Financial member of a league participating in Tropicarnage 2014. - Holds current COMPETITIVE Skate Australia Insurance (or equivalent). - Has passed CURRENT WFTDA minimum skills. - Preference will be given to those that are involved in the men’s derby community as BOUTING skaters. - We will require confirmation from your league on these points. - Participating skaters will be required to pay a small registration fee to help cover the costs of medics (est $20). - Participating skaters will be required to do a VOLUNTEER shift at Tropicarnage. Timeline: (subject to change) - Aug 1 - EOI open (not BCR/TVR) - Aug 21 - EOI close - Aug 21 - BCR/TVR submit rosters - Aug 22 - BCR/TVR EOI opt in open (if necessary) - Aug 29 - BCR/TVR EOI opt in close - Sep 6 - Teams announced - Oct 3 - Game In the spirit of fairness, BCR and TVR skaters not rostered by their league for the 10 skater roster will only be given an opt-in if there are less than 8 EOIs received.
