ATTN SUPER HEROES (or, you know...dudes who want to look like Super Heroes) As you know, today marks the release date of the Super Hero Workout 2.0. (And if you didnt know, now ya know. Ya know?) FIRST AND FOREMOST -- SHW is one of my bestselling and most effective programs, ever. As the name implies, its designed to help you look, feel, and perform like a Super Hero. Or, somewhat more practically, its the EXACT type of program used to help actors get into the kind of shape the need to be in to PLAY super heroes in the movies. (When you read the book, youll find a few references to those people.) As the name also implies, this is the updated version of the original badassery. I can tell you a few important things about it, but chief among these is that it is much, much better than the original. While sequels CAN suck, they have the potential to be better, because you can learn a lot from the first one. In the case of SHW, Ive had over 3 years to evaluate the program and the results its given people. And that time and feedback has allowed me to make some pretty drastic improvements. Firstly, there are new workouts. Not all new -- some are the same. But over 50% of the workouts in the program are brand new. Some new tricks and old standbys come into play, but more than anything else just more experience. Secondly, I added about 5000 words of information to the manual. A lot of it is important fitness stuff, and a lot of it is just geeky comic book references. Equally important, if you ask me. Thirdly, some really interesting stuff has happened over the past three years, in terms of my clientele. Simply, Im working with a lot more people who really need to come in looking like super heroes -- lots of MMA guys, celebrities, and all that. The experience has given me some new perspective, which has led to some adjustments to the program. Those are the big changes. IF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT THE PROGRAM ITSELF... I wont bore you with too many details. SHW is a 4 phase program lasting 12 weeks; some phases are 4 weeks long, others only 2. It varies depending on the goal of that phase. The overarching theme is recomposition - simultaneous fat loss and muscle gain. Yes, its possible. Yes, it works. Yes, its hard. Yes, its awesome. Detailing how it occurs is far beyond the scope of a facebook post, but Ive got some blog posts about it coming up; for now, just think progressive programming.
