AUDACITY OF HOPELESSNESS In 2012 a young Nigerian graduate - TopicsExpress

AUDACITY OF HOPELESSNESS In 2012 a young Nigerian graduate blew the lid on the corruption within all agencies of government particularly in the Immigration department. According to him , he was looking for a job and he was asked to bring 300000 by a staff of the agency. He paid 150000 and he could not meet up the balance. He petitioned the National Assembly about this and to date nothing was heard about the show of shame . In 2013, while I was discussing Chapter 2 of the 1999 constitution(Fundamental Objectives and Directives principle of State policy) on bentv , I made a recommendation to the National Assembly to do the needful by amending the outer clauses that made it impossible for Nigerians to access , enforce all the benefits entrenched under that chapter such as Unemployment benefits! ,elderly benefit, housing for all, education for all etc, to the present day the National Assembly committee members on Constitution Amendment did nothing to either look at the chapter or come up with a solution to deal with the inability of Nigerians to access those benefits. I sent an article on this which was published by SkytrendNews Nigeria. The tragedy that occurred yesterday at the recruitment exercise for the NIS would have been averted if we all do the needful by compelling our leaders to provide all the benefits entrenched in the constitution My sympathy goes to the families of the innocent youth that lost their lives as a result of the show of shame. May their soul rest in peace.
