AUGUST 29TH OR SEPTEMBER 4TH 2013, SUPREME COURT TO DELIVER FINAL RULING ON ELECTION PETITION .......? The Supreme Court may fix judgement day on the election petition which has been pending since December 2012 for either the 29th of August, or the 4th of Sept., 2013. President of the nine member panel hearing the case, Justice William Atuguba, gave the indication on Wednesday, after the court heard last minute oral addresses by lawyers for the petitioners and the respondents. According to him, the court will sit on Wednesday August 14, 2013 to seek clarifications on the voluminous legal addresses which has been filed by all the parties. Thereafter he said, count of the mandatory 15 days - after close of arguments - within which final ruling will be given will begin. Counting 15 week days from August 15, the verdict is likely to come on September 4; however counting 15 days (including weekends) from August 15, judgement will be read on August 29th.
