AUL 19s Div v Rivervalley 20th Oct 2013 ParkCeltic-Summerhill 2 Rivervalley 0 Rivervalley Rangers made the long trip from Swords to Agher Park today hoping to get back to back wins after getting there first win of the season last weekend. Tight opening exchanges with no team creating any clear cut chances. However Park Celtic caught Rangers on the counter with Faruq Morodeyo whipping a great cross into the box and Morris Thsepo got in front of his man and tapped home from close range to make it one nil. Rangers where dangerous at set pieces and caused Park Celtic one or two problems from corners and free kicks but coming to no avail. In the second half Rangers had a lot of ball possession but not in the final third and werent really testing Frank Cormack between the sticks except from one or two long range efforts. Every time Park Celtic broke or got on the ball we looked very dangerous and Faruq Moradeyo and Morris Thsepo combined well and Faruq put another great ball into the box with skipper Paddy McCarthy was inches from making it two nil with a header. Rangers towards the end where losing there discipline and where picking up needless yellow cards and they went down to ten men after a Rangers player struck Paddy McCarthy in the back of the head in front of the referee and was giving his marching orders. At the death Park Celtic where awarded a penalty after Faruq Morodeyo who was causing havoc in the Rangers defence was fouled and Paddy McCarthy coolly dispatched the peno from 12 yards. A Super performance by Park Celtic. That makes it 3 wins from 3 at home and also are third win on the trot in the league.
