The campaign provides potential travellers a chance to journey to Australia with Malaysia Airlines with discounts of up to 20 percent. Nishant Kashikar, Country Manager, India& Gulf, Tourism Australia, said, “Aviation access is a key pillar to achieving our 2020 plan and in Malaysia Airlines we have a strong strategic partner who share our objective of increasing growth on the India-Australia route. Our enduring collaborative efforts over the past three years have yielded mutually beneficial results that we are keen to sustain and amplify. Indian arrivals into Australia have been progressively increasing and initiatives like this are sure to provide a further impetus to that growth.” According to Azahar Hamid, Regional Senior Vice President, South Asia and Middle East, Malaysia Airlines, “Malaysia Airlines is pleased to collaborate with Tourism Australia again to offer best-in-class deals for travellers to Australia. Plan early to enjoy the best fare deals from Malaysia Airlines and the best of Australia.” On sale till 11 October 2014, the promotional fares are valid for Economy class travel on Malaysia Airlines up to 30 June 2015. Bookings can be made for travel to six major Australian cities of Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Darwin and Sydney from Indian cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi. This co-op campaign complements Tourism Australia’s ongoing aspirational integrated food and wine themed brand campaign ‘Restaurant Australia’ enticing inspired travellers to book their holiday to Australia and explore. The offer is also well-timed to benefit travellers planning a visit to witness one of the most anticipated sporting events – the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 - that will take place through February and March, co-hosted by Australia.
