Aaahhh, spring. Its such a beautiful day that we cut school short and I sent all 4 kids out to play. Then I gathered some water, a snack, and a good book and curled up on the couch for a few minutes of uninterrupted silence. Immediately: the phone rang, the dryer buzzed to let me know the laundry needs folded, one kid fell off a bike and needed checked for injury, another child needed to come in and use the bathroom, but cant reach the door handle, so stood outside knocking (Sheldon style), 2 other kids got thirsty and had to come in for drinks, I caught one kid riding a bike with a toy sword in his hand, someone fell into a puddle, another learned a new trick that I just HAVE to see, someone mastered another trick that I just HAVE to see, another one fell out of the tree onto his head practicing said trick, at least 2 kids had to come inside to get toys that have migrated in throughout the winter, someone needed help getting their helmet on, someone else needed help getting their helmet off, and I realized that I have to get dinner made because it will be time to leave for work before long. Aaahhh, spring.
