Aaron C. E Smith 1) I never fit in til my mid - teens. I was small and thin til I was 15, when I hit a massive growth spurt. Did it lead to my hitting the gym? I dont know. Really it was because I was gaining weight from not being able to run during the winter months. 2) Metal has been my crusade since my late teens. I got into harder rock when I was 16, and it morphed from there. I feel like it has been there for me more than anything in the most tumultuous times in my life. I struggled with religion since before that. I lived in constant doubt and felt like no one really understood why I was feeling this way, and none of the people around me ( a very small handful) could explain that it isnt an adversarial being that is supplanting my faith. Metal was without judgement. I continue to play it because I feel a debt of gratitude to it. I have much to say that is best expressed in a subgenre of it. I think these reasons are why I am loyal to it. I will take to the sword (so to speak) to defend it, perhaps like any crusader, but it will happen. I will attack anything I deem stupid about you if you badmouth it, it will bring out an ugliness in me that I show no one else. I will not tolerate attacks on my family, nor anything derogatory you would say about Anthony Rouse, Nick Rothe, Manimal Manimal, or Andy McComas. These are the other members of Grethor. 3) I am not inclined to believe in divine intervention, or divine anything, predestined mates or any of that. I dont think things are meant to be. I believe that you carve your own destiny in sweat and toil. However, my relationship with Leah Kelley Lawrence would be pretty damned close to that idea, I think. 4) I am an actor as well. It got me through my last 2 yrs of high school, kept me from dropping out. I do multiple things, just havent achieved fame. It cured much of my social anxiety issues. 5) When I can afford it, I collect all things DC and Marvel. I am more of a DC Comics guy, but I do like most of the Avengers. 6) I have Ghostbusters, Conan the Barbarian, Batman (Tim Burton), and Superman 1 committed to memory. Movies have been a big part of me, and those movies inspired me to see more. I remember watching some with my grandmother that werent necessarily for kids, such as Out Of Africa, Henry V, and being fascinated with the nuances of performance. 7) Not a day goes by I dont think of my Grandmother, Vivienne Lawrence, who died in 2001. 8) I should sleep more, I would actually get my weight to where I want it, at 220.
