Worth reading: Ive just been watching the ABC documentary about Lance Armstrong. All the way through I kept seeing a parallel between him and Tony Abbott. For a start they look a bit alike, with that lean and hungry look. They both ride bikes. They both love adulation. They are both fanatically determined to win. And they both use dodgy tactics when necessary to gain an advantage - drug doping in the case of Armstrong, the doping of Rupert Murdochs media backing and various unorthodox methods of raising election funds in the case of Abbott. Lastly, and most importantly, they are both willing to lie when necessary to get where they want to get to. Im wondering if Abbott will eventually be found out and collapse like Lance Armstrong. Only time can tell, but I wouldnt be surprised.
