Abdulla el Shamy wrote this in a letter from his prison cell in January to announce his hunger strike : My jailed colleagues and I are witnesses of freedom and will always be remembered as that. I know that a prosecutor who’s clearly lost his sense of justice or a judge who works on orders from above, will be forgotten and despised. I chose to be on hunger strike to send a few messages:!) to journalists who choose to falsify the facts and cover up the violations of freedoms and media, 2)to the military junta that I do not fear losing my life in my struggle for freedom. NOTHING WILL BREAK MY WILL OR MY DIGNITY
