Abigail and I are privileged to see hundreds of talks a year, and this is one of the most powerful, heartfelt, well crafted, and authentically delivered talks Ive ever seen. This is the talk given by Vincent Cochetel, Director of the Bureau for Europe for the UN High Commission on Refugees, at TEDxPlaceDesNations this past December. Ori, from our team, and I were onsite doing some work with the speakers. The first time I heard Vincent deliver this talk we were in a small, empty office in one of the upstairs floors. I was moved to tears by his poetry and humanity. The talk is longer than normal, but is a masterpiece in storytelling, and a brilliant illustration of using a powerful story to bring home a bigger idea. For me its changed the way I hear to the news, and opened my eyes to what the core of humanitarian work is about. https://youtube/watch?v=1F5CsD2ekSA
