About 1:19 pm on Thursday the 25th of July 2013 a female was at Westfield Eastgardens in a large department store. The female was in the footwear department and was seen removing her old shoes that she had on and placing them on the shelf. At this time she was seen then select a pair of ladies boots which she then put on. She then walked into the cosmetic department where she selected a small yellow and pink pattern cosmetic bag. She walked out of the cosmetic department and walked towards the nursery department and removed an IFold pram box off the shelf and opened it before assembling the pram together. She then placed all her items in the pram and proceeded toward the front door entry of the store and made no attempt to walk towards the cash registers. She walked through the front door entry and did not display her receipt to the staff at the entrance but continued through the exit. The Loss Prevention Officer at this department store has stopped the female and police attended a short time later. It has been alleged that the female has stolen $428.50 worth of goods and has been charged to face Waverley Local Court in the coming month.
