About 10,000 Dallas ISD students will be able to watch the film Selma Movie free January 17-19, thanks to donations from local African American business and civic leaders. The Dallas program is part of a nationwide campaign to help students see the movie and learn about the struggle for civil rights in America. The Dallas Foundation administers the local fund for Selma tickets. #SelmaforStudents Free tickets will be available to 7th, 8th and 9th graders until supplies run out. Students must show their current DISD identification badge or a recent report card at the box office to receive the tickets. The four participating movie theaters are: Studio Movie Grill/Northwest Highway City Cinemas/Angelika Cinemark/Webb Chapel AMC Northpark For show times and directions, please contact the theaters directly.
