About 12 years ago I was asked to write a song for a Gospel project that was coming together. It was aborted,but ive always like this song. I was Christened in the Unitarian church as a child & have always been a spiritual person....I believe strongly in something bigger than all of us. Even as a child, I knew the strongest emotion I felt & gave, was Love. So....ive kind of let THAT dictate how I act & treat others. I wrote this ,not coming from any particular religion.....but of someone realizing that it really is pretty simple. Love should be at the root of our existence. In the song, Im using terms like My Father & Lord...because that would be the terms I was raised around for the Higher power. But,of course it could be anything. Theres been a lot of ugly talk about peoples beliefs & religions lately...& as I say here. Its silly....how we separate each other.....through religion, through race. When were all just walking on bridges.....going to the same island,across the same waters. Were all Gods Babies. wink emoticon heart emoticon
