About 5 years ago I was in a relationship with someone who really didnt want me. I let this dude make me feel like I was ugly and unwanted. He cheated on me and the whole 2 years we were together he was still trying to get back with his ex. The funny thing was, his ex didnt want him...smh. I did everything i could do to get this dude to like me. I bought him everything that I could, paid his bills, support his music ministry and always had his back but this guy was just not into me. I had to realize one day that as much as I was in love with him, he was not in love with me. So one day while in the shower with tears in my eyes...I ask God to give me the strength to leave this guy. It didnt happen the next day or the next week, but one day...strength hit me and I was able to tell him that this wasnt working and watch him walk out my door and drive off. Yes, it hurt, yes I cried and yes I wanted us to get back together but guess what...I WAS FREE!!! It took a moment to heal, forgive and move on but one day about 6 months later I was totally healed and happy for him. He wasnt my promise...he was my process and he helped to prepare me for EVERYTHING that God had in store for me. #goodliferocks
