About a year ago my daughter and I were driving down a country highway in Iowa in the late afternoon. It was a, blow your eyes out, beautiful day. Green as Ireland, rolling farm land, forest and crops. She plugged in a CD and played Teach Your Children by CSN&Y. I think we both teared up a bit. I often wonder how Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young (not to mention Dylan, Joni and others) were able to tap such deep emotional places at such a young age. youtube/watch?v=BkAlr90k23Y
