About the school rivalries and the endless bashing against Atenistas. I really am not for or against anything. :) I actually normally do not comment or speak my mind because the honestly, the less you care, the happier your life gets! But, I saw a post today about Atenistas being bullies and mayabang and prejudiced. Its sad to accept but there really are Atenistas who cant handle the prestige that it eats them up and deceives them into looking down on others. BUT its also very wrong to stereotype that every Atenean out there is mayabang. Thats very ridiculous. What others dont know is that ADMU is very big on service, on giving to the community--and it takes a humble and pure heart to do that. We have orgs that seek to help kids with cancer, abandoned and abused children, women, out of school youth, the homeless, the sick. We dont break sweats and exert so much effort for relief operations and community services and outreaches dahil pakitang tao kami. Or mayabang. We do that wholeheartedly and we do it for God. For His greater glory! I agree na maraming mayabang na Atenista diyan and occasionaly, theyd cross the line in remarking against other schools but honestly, if you think one or two incidents are enough to testify that all Atenistas are so mayabang then you are no different than they. :) As for prejudiced, I agree that it really is wrong to speak ill against another with or without proof, with all honesty or not. Some Atenistas out there think that studying in ADMU makes them superior and that it gives them jurisdiction to look down on other schools or ridicule their cultures and behavior. Its so shameful and it gives us a bad reputation. I dont want to name but I know the schools from which these people come from. I hope you all stop and treat students from other universities with respect. We are all studying to become professionals in our desired fields, to leave a mark in society, to contribute to the economy, to inspire greatness in the world. It doesnt matter what school youre from or how fancy you can speak! In the end, people will remember you for what you have done and not your college diploma, So stop rubbing it in other peoples faces. Im a proud Atenista. My blood is technically blue, ;) Im proud of my quality education and the growth of my heart from all the programs and Ateneo influences, But I also salute people from UP, La Salle, UST, FEU, Mapua, UE, Adamson, NU, etc. Im hopeful one day something can implore us to rid of the hatred and the prejudices and the biases and the malice. Rivalries were never supposed to be personal. I hope we all learn to understand that. - Audacious Ailurophile⭐️, School of Humanities (SOH), BFA CW, 2014
