About the whole Zoe Quinn fiasco. I want to call it ZoeGate(but perhaps ZoeRevolvingDoor is more appropriate haha). Anyway, did you guys hear about the Fine Young Capitalists? They are a group of 5 women trying to break into game development by having a contest where each proposes a concept for a game and people can vote on the best one. The winner becomes the lead concept and the game will be crowd funded through indiegogo. There were some who tried to see the project fail, and 4chan organized and raised over $5,000 to help with the project, even some of /v/s members, who were concept artists created a character for the final game project names Vivian James(who is a lover of video games but hates hypocrisy and dishonesty). So to summarize... >4chan and company created a character. >Got her put into a game. >Helped women get into the industry. >Have created a game themselves (Katawa Shoujo) which talked about women with disabilities. >Helped out real women by donating to people like Allison Theus when she needed help for surgery. Now what have Social Justice Warriors done? >Dox people and censor dissent. >ZoeQuinn and the 5Guys Fiasco >Bully others to their position >Make subpar games which have to be passed around more than the nepotism and corruption they produce > Gave us Anita Sarkeesian, Moviebob, Jim Sterling, Adam Sessler, Phil Fish and a litany of other douchebags who talk about gamers in a negative light while saying how toxic we are.
