About to flip it to the other side of the pillow and call it a night. So much reflecting today with the passing of Stuart Scott. I did not realize how much his death would impact me. Ive been totally shook and saddened all day. He was someone I truly admired in the game throughout the years; super intelligent, witty, and insightful; a master of his craft. I have always been a huge fan of sports but waking up and going to bed with SportsCenter I feel like he made me a fan of Sports Broadcasting. They would air the same exact episode back to back to back and I just never turned the channel. His speech at the ESPYs solidified his legacy. His words helped to make me understand my mommys death and brought me comfort about her battle with cancer. He said, “When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer....You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.” Knowing this I know my mother beat cancer by TKO!
