#AboutMe Saw this on my bro Egwuatu’s wall and thought I’d give it a try. So here goes 20 random things #AboutMe…. 1. If you see me with a long face most times, I’m not sad or angry. I just boarded the thought train and it might take a while to get off. I like to think of myself as a philosopher. 2. I find it difficult leaving the comfort of my home. I’m still yet to understand why, so don’t ask. 3. I was born to teach, but I don’t see myself in a school setting. Who knows, tho. 4. Give me internet, a PC, my phone, and some books and you probably will be able to talk me into some favours. Money can be thrown into the mix sha… 5. I am a foodie. I dey chop anything chopable. But don’t give me Okro soup without kpomo or cook ukwa (breadfruit) in my presence, except you like vomit flavoured foods. And if you don’t want me to go all Mike Tyson/Usain Bolt/The Incredible Hulk on you, just “jejely” leave me and my Akpu with oha soup alone. Self-Proclaimed gold medallist of the Fufu Olympics, I am. 6. I can be loud, lousy and irrational. Depends on the situation too. 7. My bad mouth is still unrivalled. Who’s up for a challenge? 8. I like trekking. Even when there is a means of transportation. Those times are the best thinking times for me. 9. If I walk past you at night without acknowledging you, I actually didn’t see you. ma binu, she e gbo? 10. I like the females. Not to sound cliché, but smart ones have a thing about them, you know? Not like I’m Doogie Howser (abi na Hauser?) or anything, but I’d be more challenged by a smart female than a smart guy. 11. I love the Church, and would defend it to the best of my ability. (*Ahem* this is actually a sub sha.) 12. I don’t have friends. I have family and acquaintances. I consider my close friends family. 13. Best way to calm me down quickly when I’m pissed is to give me something sweet. Chocolates or soft drinks does it. Though my anger last but a moment….depending on the situation. 14. On social networks, if you want to chat me up, biko speak proper English so that me too can expand my vocab. If you no sabi we fit enter pidgin, or k’anyi kpa n’asusu bee m. I will just snub the hell out of you if you tabon, or gbagaun, and most especially if you’re a one-liner (k, yes, no, maybe, etc. bleeearrgh!) 15. I like animated movies. And I’m a big fan of the DC comic characters. The Flash and The Green lantern are my guys. 16. I and my younger sis are the worst of enemies but the best of friends. If we fight or argue it’s like a civil war, but if we join forces, we’re like Aki and Pawpaw. 17. TV bores me. 18. This still surprises me too: I love football, but hardly pay attention to it. Video games too. Gadgets too. Cars too. I wonder sometimes if I’m not from Krypton. These are things normal HUMAN boys would like…yeh? No? Oh well. 19. I love my country. I want to live, breed kids, make my mark, make a fortune, all in Nigeria. I don’t belong to the train of thought that greener pastures exist outside Nigeria. Nigeria’s pastures are green enough for me. But I would definitely do anything to travel around the world to experience the different cultures, sciences, literature, arts that abound. 20. I am not scared of dying too. My fear is the afterlife, and the legacy I’ll leave behind. Dying young is not an option tho. Feel free to join in the #AboutMe challenge.
