For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. *But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen -------------------------------------------------------------------- Feeling that you are now saved and you dont need to know Christ any deeper is a major key to struggle and trouble in the lives of many believers. Despite all Apostle Paul had seen and done in God, he still wanted to know Christ and the power of His resurrection, Phil.3:10. Knowing here, is beyond head knowledge it is more of an intimate heart experience. You can only know Christ by the revelation of the Spirit. Without Him we can do nothing. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Without Him we have no faith. It is not our life and ability but His life and ability at work in us. He is the captain of our salvation. Our having grace and rest is tied to our knowledge of Him. Keep learning about Jesus from Jesus. Learn how Jesus fulfilled what God commissioned and empowered Him to do. Learn how Jesus related and depended on the Father. Learn how to be meek and lowly in heart. Grace and peace are multiplied unto us through our knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. It is through our knowledge of Him that we experience the fullness of life and godliness that God has given us by His divine power, 2Pet.1:2-3. Knowing the love of Christ fills us with the fullness of God, Eph.3:19. It is on the revelation of who Christ is that the Church will be built and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. The reason your yoke will become easy and your burden will become light is because Christs strength will be at work in you. Our spiritual maturity is a function of the knowledge and fullness of Christ that we possess. Rest in Him. Let Him be your everything. Keep yearning for more of Him. PRAYER FOCUS: Tell God today that you want to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Ask God to reveal Christ more and more to you. Pray for grace to rest in Him.
