To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. *Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. -------------------------------------------------------------------- God doesnt send His Word to us simply so we can have a lot of Christian religious knowledge in our heads or be able to quote a lot of scriptures. Gods Word carries the Spirit and Life of God, John 6:63. It transforms us and produces great godly fruits in our lives. Be very careful in trivializing Gods Word. Never feel like you know that truth or you have heard enough of that message or revelation. In 1Corinthians 8:2 the Good News Bible says those who think they know something really dont know as they ought to know. Every time you are hearing or meditating on Gods Word, the Holy Spirit is ready to breathe upon that Word and make it more real and alive in you. The Holy Spirit is the One responsible for revealing and unveiling Gods Word to us. There are revelations in Gods Word that you may need to patiently and consistently go over again and again before the light of God in His Word breaks out by the Spirit into your heart and takes deeper root. Even Jesus said there were many things He desired to tell His disciples but at that moment they just could not comprehend them. He knew that later, the Holy Spirit would reveal those things to them (John 16:12-13) as they continued in His Word. Similarly, there are many glorious things that God still has to reveal to you. Jesus said if you continue in My Word, you are my disciples indeed; and you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free, (John 8:31-32.) By the Spirit, God will keep opening up hidden wisdoms and revelations in His Word to you. Also, as a spiritual leader or someone mentoring other believers, dont be grieved that you have to keep repeating certain things in Gods Word to those you minister to. PRAYER: Ask God for a greater hunger and thirst for His Word and for patience to continue in His Word. Pray same for other believers too.
