Above Only Daily Devotional cgmglobal.org/aboveonly (Lire en français: cgmglobal.org/aboveonly/fr) Saturday, September 20 WINNING CHRIST (2) Philippians 3:14, Romans 8:29 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. *For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. -------------------------------------------------------------------- The real prize we win in this race is Christ, and our greatest calling is to be like Christ. This is why we desire to know (experience) Him above all things. We must desire that Christ and His glory be increasingly revealed in us. In Galatians 1:15-16, Apostle Paul said, but when it pleased God, who separated me from my mothers womb, and called me by his grace, to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Theres a difference between these terms: Christ being revealed to you and Christ being revealed in you. When Christ is revealed to you, you see Him and know Him better, but when Christ is revealed in you, others see Him and experience more of Him from your life. In other words, Your life must reflect Christs glory and nature. According to Ephesians 4:13, one day we all are going to come unto the measure of the fullness of the stature of Christ. In John 17:24, Jesus prayed that we will be where He is and that we will see His glory. This prayer must be more than us simply gaining admission into Heaven because in the same John 17:15, Jesus said He was not praying for God to take us out of this world, but for God to keep us from the evil in this world. Jesus must have been praying for us to attain to His fullness and experience all of His glory in our lives here and now. That is the real Heaven on earth; experiencing more and more of Jesus and His glory in our lives. DECLARATION: Declare in faith that your victory is sure in Christ Jesus.
