Above Only Daily Devotional cgmglobal.org/aboveonly (Lire en français: cgmglobal.org/aboveonly/fr) Monday, December 1 DIVINE INHERITANCE Acts 26:18, Romans 8:16-17, Colossians 1:12 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. *The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. *Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: -------------------------------------------------------------------- We are joint heirs with Christ and one of the benefits that go together with the word heir is inheritance. Together with Christ, you are partaking of the divine inheritance of the sons of God. In Christ, we did not only receive forgiveness of sins, we also received a divine inheritance, Acts 26:18. The Bible emphasizes the inheritance of the Saints, but not many believers are aware and conscious of the divine inheritance that they have in God. This inheritance is much more glorious than we believe it is. It is Gods fullness that has been made available to us in Christ. In this fullness, there are countless blessings which we cannot even grasp in our lifetime on earth. This inheritance is what God has made available for you so that you can live the glorious life He has planned for you. Your understanding of how glorious God wants your life to be will give you some insight into the type of inheritance that God has made available for you in Christ Jesus. 1Peter 1:3-4, tells us about the inheritance which we have been born into. These glorious things are yours simply by virtue of your being born into the family of God. PRAYER: Thank God that you have an inheritance in Christ Jesus.
