Abstract: The ultrasonic velocity (u), density (ρ) and viscosity (η) at 302 K have been measured in the binary systems and ternary systems of benzophenone in 2-propanol, 1-butanol and toluene. The acoustical parameters such as adiabatic compressibility (βad), bulk modulus (k), acoustic impedance (Z), intermolecular free length (L ), relaxation time (t), relative association f*E 2(RA), Gibb’s free energy (? G ) and attenuation (a/f ) were calculated and different types of molecular interactions in these mixtures have been analyzed on the basis of the variation of those parameters with increasing concentration ofbenzophenone and keeping constant ultrasound frequency at 2MHz.
