Abu Razeen Al-Uqaili reported: He went to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “O Messenger of Allah, my father is an old man and he cannot perform the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage, nor can he take a journey.” The Prophet said, “Perform Hajj and Umrah on his behalf.” Source: Sunan At-Tirmidhi 930 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to At-Tirmidhi عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ الْحَجَّ وَلَا الْعُمْرَةَ وَلَا الظَّعْنَ قَالَ حُجَّ عَنْ أَبِيكَ وَاعْتَمِرْ 930 سنن الترمذي كِتَاب الْحَجِّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَاب مِنْهُ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
