Abubakar Malam TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF KEBBI STATE LETTER OF INTENT TO CONTEST THE 2015 GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION. As you are very much aware, our democratic experience at both Federal, State and Local Government levels since the advent of democratic civilian rule in 1999 has brought about unprecedented human and material developments. However, this does not in any way mean that we couldnt have done better. In Kebbi State in particular, the democratically elected Governments that ruled the State from 1999 to 2007 and from 2007 to date have each tried their best in moving our dear State forward. Indeed, the remarkable achievements recorded by the two administrations could be appreciated better when compared with the huge resources accrued to other sister States of the Federation. However, it is my considered opinion that since development is a continuous process, there is still room for improvement. I am confident that I have the vision, mission and drive to further move our dear State to the next level. Meanwhile, the question may be asked as to why must I continue to present myself for governorship election despite previous experiences? The answer to this rather difficult question is simple. I am persuaded to try again and again in the hope that with your support, Allah (SWT) will grant me the opportunity to implement the people orientated policies and programmes that would transform our Kebbi into a united, dynamic, viral and prosperous State.All my life,I have looked for ways to uplift and transform our state and its people. I am of the belief,that if given the chance to serve,kebbi state will be a model to other states in terms of Education,Youth empowerment and Job creation,civil service reform,Agriculture,Health care,Commerce and industries and all other sectors relevant to human development and growth. You will no doubt agree with me that a lot needs to be done and a lot must be done to bring forth the potential of our State and people for the benefit of the present and future generations. While soliciting for your support in my determined effort to provide effective and collective leadership for our people, I wish to avail myself of this opportunity to assure you of my highest regard and warmest esteem, please.
