Academic studying is just too overrated in our country hence we continue to produce learners who are instruction takers rather than innovators. We are yet to understand that intelligence & intellectualism can stand side by side. That mental labour doesnt superside physical labour. We are stuck with an education system which relegates creativity into the backbanner hence young people continue to be a burden on the labour market because they have been programmed not to think for themselves. We need a system which will produce young people who are self reliant and self sufficient. You would think that President Zuma who is matricless but managed to lead a country will champion such a system
