Acceptance: We live in a performance-oriented society. Many parents convey the message: if you make the football team, if you bring home a good report card, if you look pretty, then you are accepted and loved. God, however, is a God of unconditional love. Our heavenly Father loves us because He is love. We dont need to do anything to convince Him to love us, but we do need to receive His love. This does not mean we have to become saints first. All He asks is that we come to Him honestly and sincerely; then He will forgive us and make us His children.
