Accepting that you are blind is big step to christianity or to knowing God. God needs us to accept that we are blind and going before Him makes us to know Him better as our Father. We are sinners, its only by going to Him that our sins will be cleansed. The samaritan woman accepted that she was a sinner and she received God. The blind man was healed by Jesus but when he was taken to the Jewish elders, he accepted he was healed by Jesus but they who saw the miracles Jesus was performing rejected Him and crucified Him for no offence. They never accepted that they were blind and they could only think about their outward cleaness and forgoy that God only sees through our hearts, He is not human to look at what we fo outside but our hearts, He choose David who was tiny and made him a king. So lets not deceive ourselves by what we show to the world but concentrate on our hearts.
