Acclaimed singer / songwriter Spencer Day returns with their 5th album, first in independent publishing in seven years.The musician who confided much like to speak Portuguese, addressed the creation and launch of Daybreak and left open the possibility of coming to Europe, including Portugal. Spencer Hello and thank you for this opportunity. Daybreak is your new album, a collection of some originals and some covers . We could start precisely there: why the decision to include this set of versions? Have not made versions on my albums a few years ago. Then had some versions he admired and wanted to submit an original and unique way. And since you picked the songs you wanted to submit as versions? Normally, when Im inspired during a period, write original songs that arise from this inspiration. The covers of Daybreak bring back happy memories for me and I love the atmosphere of the 60s. Since this has your fifth album, how you compare to your previous? I think its more up-tempo , more pop and less jazz . Maybe I had more control over the recording and production of the album. Having more control I was able to work with great musicians and friends and produce the album faster, with a smaller budget.
