According to Eskoms System Status Bulletin, the system is expected to be tight for the next few days, however the risk of load shedding is low. Eskom is asking all South Africans to use electricity sparingly by living Lightly this summer. Consumers are asked to alleviate the pressure from the system by reducing their electricity usage as much as they can: switch off geysers and pool pumps, switch off non-essential lights, use air conditioners sparingly, and respond to alerts on TV.
