According to Websters dictionary, the definition of a TEAM is a group of people who work together for a common goal. We are so lucky to be part of a TEAM whose goals are to give our children the best opportunities we can as parents, teachers and coaches. With that being said...why would we NOT work together to accomplish this? To create a positive team environment for our children, we have to offer opportunities other than just practice for them to hang out and be a team. Also, as parents we should teach our children to practice game speed while at practice. Creating a team atmosphere may also mean socializing at a restaurant, maybe or maybe not eating there (that is your choice as a parent), working out together (again, a parental choice). As parents of TEAM members, sometimes this means going to a restaurant you dont necessarily love and that is ok! We can go more than one place to eat, work out or offer other opportunities for our children to bond as a team. This also means you dont have to agree with everything a coach says or does, but support them! We as parents have to be the role model...we have to be a TEAM and teach our children how important that is to accomplishing set goals now and in life. While every child is their parents most important TEAM member, there is a bigger picture!!! Lets get on the same page and teach our children to be a team that supports each other and builds others up instead of constant mini battles. We have a good thing that can be great and it starts with us! in me and lets start today.with Ellie Lewis, Lea Nunn Tavani, Pam Wilson Ledbetter, Darlene Brooks Wright, Debbie Stargel Baptist, Kim Ahearn Speake, Kim Belcher Vickery, Victor Ronzulli, Andrew Collins, Juan A.
