According to a close aide to the former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari, said in a telephone interview with our correspondent, that the general is not perturbed by reports that he and other prominent Nigerians have had their movements restricted by security agents. Mr. Rotimi Fashakin, said this in Abuja, on Thursday. This was reacting to a news report that the general was among several Very Important Personalities whose movement had been placed on “protective” restriction following threats by the Islamic Boko Haram sect. Fashakin said since the President Goodluck Jonathan-led Peoples Democratic Party mounted the saddle of Nigeria’s leadership, the shedding of innocent blood had become common place. He recalled that the late National Security Adviser, Gen. Andrew Azazi, revealed that the scramble for power among various interests within the ruling party was responsible for the insurgency. The erstwhile national publicity secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change said, “Who is the Boko Haram? Jonathan’s PDP is Boko Haram; at least, we got that from the late National Security Adviser (Gen. Andrew Azazi). “Who killed Gen.Mohammed Shuwa? The death of that man is still shrouded in mystery. We learnt that his killers come to his house on a Friday and blasted him out of existence. “Jonathan’s PDP should let Nigerians know what they mean. Gen. Buhari is not perturbed about the report.
