According to the Florida State Attorneys Office, the Arcadia Police Department arrested Larry Wallace today and charged him with one count of cruelty to animals, a 3rd-degree felony, and one count of arson, a 2nd-degree felony. Wallace was the owner of a dog that was set on fire on March 20, at his home in Arcadia. The 1-year-old female mixed-breed dog was named Hope by her rescuers with the Hardee Animal Rescue Team. She was taken to BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa, and is still in the hospitals intensive care unit receiving treatment for the burns she suffered.
