According to the May 2013 Anne Arundel County Department of Health “Growing Wellness” Report Card of Community Health Indicators The Healthy People 2020 goal for infant mortality is no more than 6.0 deaths per 1,000 live births. Anne Arundel County currently meets this goal overall, however, a significant disparity continues to exist between white and black infant mortality.
