According to the absurd Ballon DOre campaign initiated by fans (especially RM ones) Carlo Ancelotti will most probably end up receiving the best manager award which might seem reasonable at a first look. It does, it really does. But and thats a huge but right there, theres a certain DIEGO SIMEONE who should supposedly beat anyones ass to that award. The guy lead his team to grabbing the worlds best league title, in some style too. And as if that wasnt good enough to support his case, he barely lost the Champions league, losing it to a heroic yet heart-breaking header by Sergio Ramos. Who knows how would it have ended if 5 minutes were not given as stoppage time. Nonetheless, he lead his time to a historical title charge on both local and European stages. A Spanish Super Cup as well. It cant get any more glorious. Players like Arda Turan, Miranda, Godin, Diego Costa, Juanfran, Gabi, Koke... They were nothing but above average players, decent at best. He transformed all of them into world class players and has been winning titles since mid-2012. He broke the physiological barrier that RM had firmly established for around 10 years now. The power edge has now shifted towards Atletico Madrid. Its unreal how hard they are to break down. You might noy like their tactics, you may say that they play violent football, but you surely cant deny that they are one hell of a team. I hope that one day Simeone gets hold of the Argentinian National team. He will form one scarily good team. I can get around Ronaldo getting the Balon Dore. I can get around the exclusion of Suarez and Modric. But theres no way in hell I can get over anyone getting the best manager award other than Simeone.
