According to this, the first woman to be Executive Editor of the NYTimes (Jill Abramson) was fired because 1. she found out that the person who held the job before her was paid more and she spoke up about it, 2. she clashed with the CEO over advertising and 3. she didnt consult with enough people about hiring a deputy managing editor??? Oh and I like the P.S. thrown in that she was brusque and hard to work with. So basically, she got fired for being a woman who took control? Is that what Im reading here? Because if so, thats wack. UBER ULTRA WACK.
