Ack! Its like theres a force that is keeping me from seeing Gideon, and Im getting loads of opportunity to practice Faith and Trust. After being able to finally make it to the barn on Monday (for only 1/2 hour due to breathing difficulties from this virus/bronchitis/asthma blend), I spent an unscheduled 5 hours in the truck dealership Tues when they discovered that her ball joints needed replacing in order to pass inspection. Big bucks. Oh, and then they said you need to replace some pumps (truck is 14 years old, over 250,000 miles) w/in the next month for REALLY big bucks. Yesterday my asthma was so bad I was too dizzy to drive. So I was quite excited to be heading to the barn this sunny afternoon! Alas, I pulled in to get a cup of coffee, and came out to find my truck dead. The starter had broken. And I was nowhere close to my mechanic. 3 good Samaritans tried to help me get her started, but to no avail. Finally I found a tow truck (note to self: join AAA!) & got her towed very expensively. Sigh. Now hoping that I can make it out to the barn tomorrow or at least this weekend.
